Why is this issue good? It is lighter than issues past. Some chick wants to get with the Hulk. I don't know about the biological ramifications of that but her last name is Von Doom so who knows. We get to see Hulk just exploring the world trying to experience things and be his own person. We get a fight with Red She Hulk that leads to her and Hulk getting nasty on a pile of carnage they created in the fight. Oh and the Orb is around which is great. This issue was a little zaney and probably will not be very memorable but this is the Jason Aaron that made Astonishing Spider-man and Wolverine fun, not to mention Wolverine and the X-men as of late. The previous issues of Hulk have not been very fun but this change of pace was nice. The art was weird. There were some okay panels but the way he drew the Hulk's face from the front was just strange. Finally, I want to ask the marvel's editorial team decide on and set some type of mandate on how a hulk's hair works. Hulk can have a beard and long hair but apparently the hair is not indestructible. we've never seen Hulk shave but he did lose all of his hair from the gamma bomb a few issues back. Maestro has a receding hairline. That is unexpected. And of course we all know that Red Hulk's mustache simply disappears. This has been discussed a good bit but I just wanted to get my 2 cents out and say Marvel needs to do something before they end up with their very own Hawkman situation and have no way to retcon hulkhairgate to make sense.
