Well, the moment we’ve all been waiting for is here; Flash vs Reverse-Flash! Though I like the new look, I can’t help but think it needs more Yellow. Then again, maybe Prof. Zoom has that copyrighted…

The story: Flash and RF face off. Far from being Flash and Kid-Flash running around the world pointlessly, there are stakes here. Reverse-Flash has killed several people in a grisly way and Flash isn’t gonna let him get away with it. Dr.Elias meanwhile is determined to put a stop to both of them for the good of all. Quite a bit happens at the end, which I won’t spoil but has me anxious to see how it all plays out in the next issue.

The art: Fantastic. I don’t think there’s a more beautiful book on the stands right. I mean it’s just awesome, the panel composition, the line work, alll of that. If you think any other book can top Manapul’s art, let me know in the comments but I doubt anything would come close.

I’m going to get on my soapbox for a minute. Villains Month starts next week. There’s going to be 3 issues from the Flash team: The Rogues, Grodd, and Reverse-Flash. Regardless of how you feel about DC, Villains Month, or this series; these guys tripled their workload for next month (Manapul is only listed as the artist for RF, but I kinda doubt Beccellato wouldn’t be getting input from him on Grodd and the Rogues). I know alot of people are against Villains Month, but I suggest if you like this series to pick up Reverse-Flash if nothing else because it seems like it will be a important chapter for the next regular issue. Ok, I’m off my soapbox.

Story: 4 - Very Good
Art: 5 - Excellent
