After a lot of grief with the title involving natural disasters, a crappy interpretation of the Speed Force, some unnecessary alterations to the Rogues and the not-so-loved brief artist change. It seems as if the Scarlet Speedster is finally picking up the pace again with this issue. Just as the cover suggests we get the New 52 debut of the Golden Glider, although there was not too much to go on when it came to her intentions, she sure made her mark on this one. The story was solid and the pacing was as fast as Barry himself, but the one thing that may have redeemed this issue is the fact that it’s writer Francis Manapul is back on the art once more. In the end, this book was a very enjoyable read.

Story: 2 - Average
Art: 4 - Very Good

  1. The last thing you said was “very enjoyable read” but you gave the story two stars. I don’t understand .

    • there’s a BIG difference between very enjoyable and amazing…if you had fun reading it then it was very enjoyable, if it grabbed you by the balls and made you beg for more then it was amazing..like i said before the only redeemable quality was the art, there’s an old saying in the business
a great story can carry crappy art to a certain point, but amazing art can carry crappy story telling the entire way.
in other words i may not have enjoyed the story itself but the art was very enjoyable.

  2. Thanks for that.. i enjoy reading your reviews.
