This was the only DC book I bought this week so I had super high hopes that this would be awesome and it did not dissapoint me at all. I knew I wouldn’t get the whole team assembled on the first issue, but I did like that we got a look at some of the eventual members. I know very little about the DCU so all I knew about Kid Flash is that it’s not Wally. I recently wrote a comment about what cartoon DC would do next and this is what I would imagine the first episode of a team cartoon would start as. I got a first look at Tim Drake and to me it seemed like the Robin that’s in Young Justice which isn’t really a problem. With the conclusion of the book I’m glad I’m also reading Superboy since obviously these two books will be crossing over. Brett Booth is an excelent artist and I loved the Lambo Wonder Girl was driving. The art does look cartoonish but I love cartoons so that’s a bonus to me. The only thing that upsets me about Teen Titans is that it comes out on the last week of the month. This is a fun book.

  1. I agree. Much to the dismay of Ron and Conor I loved the hell out of this book. While the art was not jaw dropping I don’t feel like it detracted from the story.

This is my first experience reading a modern Teen Titans book and I am happily impressed. If you enjoy Superboy or the Young Justice TV show pick this up.
