I had two books this week were the solictation promised “WAR!”

One delivered, one did not. Sweet Tooth delivered.

I only know Lemire’s work from this series (and one issue of Superboy), I knew he was skilled at pulking at the heart strings, I did not now he could deliver all out action as well.

Firstly his art has never been better, even with everything going on around them his characters were able to express their feelings with a look and even though this was mostly action there was a lot of great character moments as well. Jepherd’s motivations are clear and understandable, while the growth in Gus over the last few issues as been a lot of fun to watch.

With this issue Lemire ticks all the boxes, action, character moments and plot advancements too good to be spoiled here.

This issue had it all.

I have to wait until next year for issue 17, no way!
