This has been one of the most consistant books on the market of late.  Lemire’s story telling and art are fantastic!  What could have been a typical post apocolypse story has become so much more.  In the way that Walking Dead allows us to care for the survivors, rather than just root for survival, these characters mean something to the readers.  You hope for an answer to all of the questions, and yet, you find yourself saying “Oh, that’s okay…” when you don’t always get one…because the ride is so damn fun!  Who could not care for Jeppard or the kids?  The scarred and the scared characters of this book will keep me coming back for more and more for awhile.  I can’t say that right now is a great jumping on point, but the truth to the question raised at the end of this issue (if there is a truth at all…) will certainly impact what comes in the book’s future.  Thank you Vertigo for pumping out such good books year after year after year!
