One of the best things to come out of the new 52 is the fact that Scott Snyder not only writes Batman, but the insanity that is Swamp Thing. Before the relaunch I didn’t know too much about Swamp Thing all I knew of the character was that they made a movie when I was a kid and a NES game was made for it. Alec Holland confronts his destiny head on resulting in gore, fire, and some of the best art I’ve seen in the last year. Yankick Paquette is killing it and the score he wrote to accompany the book worked amazingly.

If you haven’t listened to it with the book I highly recommend it.
