I was part of the minority that liked the first issue of Superman. Sure, I noticed all the stuff everyone complained about, but it just didn’t bother me that much. Perhaps I was so surprised that I was able to feel engaged in a story about superman fighting a nameless space monster, that I was willing to forgive some of its faults.

This week is another nameless space monster fight, only now I wasn’t able to care, and so the other things started to bother me more. Probably there are less things to get annoyed by in this issue than in the previous, apart from superman’s narration of the fights which is still a terrible idea. It’s just that I did not find much to like either.
