I was a bit disappointed by this issue. I really liked the first, but this one just didn’t feel the same. I couldn’t find myself interested in the story at all, and bits of it just simply felt a bit contrived (especially everything involving Simon). To me, the issue seemed kind of “silver age” inspired (which I’m not a big fan of), and also just not a lot happened. When it comes to the art, I wasn’t too impressed either. I heard a lot of people raving about Pier Gallo’s art in the first issue, and I just didn’t see it then, and I still don’t see it now. I may give this series one more issue in hopes that it gets better, but I just dont know.

Story: 3 - Good
Art: 2 - Average

  1. I only needed to read the preview of #1 to know I wasn’t going to dig this book long-term. Reading the whole thing just confirmed my initial gut reaction.
