Why do we love Bad Girls? Harley Quinn is a bad girl, absolutely. I do love me some Harley Quinn. Suicide Squad is a team of death row inmates, that have bombs implanted in their skulls and are sent on, well, suicide missions. It's pretty damn cool. Lots of cool moments where you see them being awesomely bad and all tortured anti hero. Ok, the hero part may be stretching it. tortured protagonist. When Harley is being tortured and just laughs at the tortured and tells him "that doesn't hurt. I've been hurt worse. And you don't have his smile" well damn it all if that isn't pretty awesome. I expected awesome from Harley, but the others are pretty cool. King Shark playing possum until one of the torturer's get to close and he, well, rips their arm off and eats it? pretty cool. His chant of "Meat! Meat! Meat!" throughout the rest of the comic, also pretty cool. Yes, it's self indulgently dark and dramatically oh so evil. But it does it pretty well. 4 out of 5 stars. I want more.
