What a huge disappointment.

I hadn’t been so excited for a new series since Sweet Tooth debuted last year. Skullkickers seemed like everything I wanted in a new comic. Some mystical/mythical aspect – but tongue-in-cheek humor. “Buddy Cop” stuff. Violence, no big name writer attached. Just seemed like a series I could really get behind.

This issue was a pretty bad mess. Not terrible – but I definitely can’t call it good.

I’ll stick around and see if it hones the story in, but not much worked and there weren’t really even many funny bits.

Cmon.

  1. I liked the opening scene.  That worked for me.  Once they got into the main story, however, it trailed off badly.  And, I am not really sure what’s going on in the last page, which left me with little excitement for the next issue.
