Memories. What do you make of them? That’s what i’ve been thinking while reading this book. I’m vaguely familiar with the Captain Mar-Vell saga and respect it’s noble conclusion. To bring someone from that story line is a monumental undertaking and needs to be presented properly to sell well to both the casual readers (like me) and the fans of the story. I’m unsure if this book accomplishes it. Knowing what Mar-vell felt through the naration boxes is really not something i would have liked although i have to admit that it did resonated somehow. I’m glad that the book was able to show nicely how some of the characters had a history with each other and told very clearly even though i was not familiar with their relationships. The last pages are where all the better moments are when the writer calls back the initial words beautifully super-imposed over a different setting though in a similar scenario. I like those parallels.

The art is superb aside from some glaring anatomical inaccuracies but nothing that would hinder me recommending this book to read. Nice story, but nothing worth remembering.
