Low expectations was the only way to discribe myself going into this book. I wanted so much from Spider-woman that I got. Plus when I picked it up from the store the owner “warned” me about the opening pages “breaking the 4th wall”.

This book blew me away. I felt like I was read a first person prose book, but it such pretty art. I think Bendis and Maleev have started something great here. I enjoyed the story, and liked being introdued to this character. Though in future if the monologuing was turned down it wouldn’t be the worst thing.

This was a fun read from start to finish, and if you want you comic to last more than a few minutes this is definatly worth the price. The story itself was a great read, but Bendis really has loaded this book with extras.

Finally nice try Mr. Bendis trying to get pick of the week by name dropping Josh Flanagan in your book – shame it’s Ron’s pick this week.

Story: 4 - Very Good
Art: 5 - Excellent
