Ah a new storyline starting in Scalped.
I love this book, but I'm really not looking forward to reading this story over and over again in order to get little bits of story revealed.
Aaron is spinning an incredibly interesting story with these characters, but he is also stretching his plots thinner than cheese cloth.
There were a lot of great scenes in this issue.
I was particularly impressed with the fast intercutting between Red Crow and the drug lord. "NOW he's dead" had me chuckle out loud. On the flip side, the nervousness of Bad Horse is interesting, but a little repetitive.
I think that's really good way to describe this series, interesting but repetitive.
The art was great. I remember reading an interview with Steve Dillon about how he hated to draw animals because it's a completely different anatomy to learn to make look good or something along those lines. So drawing the eagle here really needs to be called out because of how good it looked.
This was a great start to the story, but I get the feeling that that's about all we'll get, a great start four times and then a great ending.
