Initially I was hoping that this series would capture some of the magic from the early Ex Machina days. I’ve realized after two issues that this just isn’t fair, as there aren’t too many similarities that I see yet between the two beyond a mixture of sci-fi and politics.

The characters are well written, flawed, and interesting. I feel like we’re getting to know a little bit about every one in each issue. The overarching storyline and developing mysteries around the characters’ mental states have great potential.

The art is very good, sometimes an artist can excel with superhero action but falls flat with normal folks, but Ryan Kelly does a great job handling a cast that looks distinct and realistic. He is a great choice for drawing a book long on suits and ties and short on capes.

You should definitely give this book a shot.
