I can’t for the life of me, stop comparing. And in the comparison, it’s not quite there for me. The story is a solid retelling but the dialogue and characterization doesn’t quite push the bar like I feel it did originally. The Fowler is breathtaking and well-suited for this task. Maybe it’s another example of me raising my aging nerd fist in the air and proclaiming “this isn’t my Justice League!!!” days before I calm down and realize they weren’t remotely trying to give ME a Justice League at all. That said, I’m so desperately wanting for a return of Q & W in my life, I’m powerless to not give it a few more issues to grab me.
