So far, Jason Aaron and Steve Dillion's run on Punisher Max has been fucked up and disgusting... and I LOVE IT! I know there are many naysayers who won't touch this book because Garth Ennis's name isn't on it. Those people are doing themeselves a disservice. I love what Aaron has done by bringing in the Kingpin in a real world setting. His Punisher is as ruthless and unforgiving as ever. Dillion's artwork on this book is like going home again. His work is still gritty, graphic, and intense but much more focused and realistic than the Marvel Knights Punisher.
This issue continues telling Wilson Fisk's rise to power. In it, he goes after the eldery widow of the former mob boss of New York because she is aware of his plan to take over. Here is were things get really fucked up, a shoot out begins between Wilson Fisk and the naked shriveled up old widow. Just before Fisk can deliver the killing blow to the widow, the Punisher shows up. Fisk and Castle throw down and in the chaos Fisk able to escape, leaving Castle to some low level mobsters that are easily disposed of. After that it appears the mob calls in a favor to a former hitman who now living in a mennonite village. I couldn't stop laughing because I kept thinking about the movie Kingpin after seeing the Mennonite material.

Story: 5 - Excellent
Art: 5 - Excellent

This one wasn’t as great as the first two issues, but I’m still like SUPER excited about reading more of this. And I love the art!! The artwork is the whole reason I never got into Ennis’s Punisher MAX stuff
