Holy Shit it's Frankenstein...I mean FRAAANKENNNCAAAASSSSOOOLLL. Oh man, what an awesome cover to this book. I can honestly say I bought the book on the cover alone. The depiction of Frank Castle as a Frankenstein monster is quite interesting. Oh how excited I was to read this book. Frank's gonna come back as this big bad ass SOB and curb stomp all the bad guys, and seek vengence for himself! Go get'em Frank!
After a little back story we get right into the action. It seems that Franks junk has made it to a lab in the deep dark sewers where a monster has put Frank back together. When Frank wakes up, all hell starts break loose in this reborn phase. Automaticly Frank return to his violent ways, mumbling, (which I caught myself reading out loud and laughing hysterically) and stumbling his way through the doctors office and their Church of Unified Spirits of Life tearing everything to shreds. On the rampage we notice that there are a group of monsters that have been watching this experient and transformation and encounter Castle. The monster are vaguley familiar as we see a vampire (the doctor), a wolf man, a mummy and a creature that looks like he is from the Black Lagoon. Is it me, or is this the charector list from the movie The Monster Squad? Just as in the movie, the Doctor (Draculat) is looking for his final piece to save all the monsters in the world. That final piece, you guest it Frank'en'Castle!
All in all, very funny. Not quite what I was looking for on the cover, but man it was getting a laugh out of me. I do believe some readers will be turned off on this. It doesnt seem to be much like any of the other stories. But hey, you can only kill so many mobsters, crime bosses and who ever, for so long. So is it good or as Frank says," MMISTAKES!!!" ? This is too funny, I am just going to have to read it again.
