Man this was a wordy book. I mean like Claremont wordy. I liked it okay, but it was a little hamfisted in a lot of ways. The narration wasn’t to great and I think the set up for a lot of this was a little too clumsy. Overall, I liked it though. I love the running gag of Karen’s boobs being a distraction. I do hope for a love interest at some point in this book’s future. I think Conner draws Karen really well. It’s like a less skanky version of the Pro. I think one of the major problems you run into with characters like PG is that she is too powerful. She’s not popular enough to sustain the nostalgia factor that will keep Superman running until the end of comics and it’s really difficult to have villains threatening to her. I like having her fight someone like the Ultra humanite, even if he appears to be working for the villains from Bio Shock. I’m worried about the sustainability of this book, especially since this book wasn’t off to such an engaging start.
