Thanks to the wonderfull people at Dcbservice.com I was able to find my own Book of the Month, Pinocchio Vampire Slayer from SLG Publishing. This digest size graphic novel is from the creative team of cartoonist Van Jensen and Dusty Higgins who don’t take themselves seriously and in so give us a great what if story. The story begins at the end of the original, where Geppetto and Pinochio return home only to be attacked by vampires. Geppetto is killed and Pinocchio vows revenge against the vampires. Who else, but a puppet-boy with an endless supply of wooden steaks that grow from his nose can take on the undead. The story is a straight up vampire hunter, but since its Pinocchio doing the hunting its pretty hillarious. Plus, you know you found something good when the first page in this story is a letter from the creative team appologizing to the creator of Pinocchio and hopping he doesn’t roll over in his grave in disgust. With a beginning like that its worth the 10 dollars

  1. I just ordered this yesterday and can’t wait to read it. You sold it!  Is this a quick read?

  2. Is this just as fucked up as Helen Killer?
