The lasst time I reviewed an issue of Nightwing, I had said I wasn’t really connecting to the book. I could see why people liked the story and the art was good but it just wasn’t grabbing me.

That’s not the case anymore. I’ve enjoyed the last couple of issues quite a lot more. I’m enjoying Dick Grayson as a character a lot more too. Maybe it’s the Court of Owls, I like the idea that if not for chance that Bruce would be facing off with Dick right now.

With the way Batwoman’s fallen off to the point where I doubt I’ll be pulling it anymore Nightwing is a book I’ll be reading a lot more regularly.

Story: 5 - Excellent
Art: 5 - Excellent

Comments

  1. I totally agree. I’ve been reading Nightwing since launch but the middle issues made me debate dropping it. I’m glad I stuck around as the revelations about Dick and his family have been nothing short of awesome.

BTW: Totally agree with assessment of Batwoman.

  2. I agree that NIGHT WING has grown as a title. I think the connection to the Night of Owls storyline makes it stronger by uncovering Grayson’s past and the life he could have had. I enjoy the entire run of Night of Owls and even collecting Catwoman and others for a complete story.
