This issue was incredible. Reading it almost feels like watching a TV series finale in that you follow these characters for years and have watched them grow into the people they are today. We watched them fight battle after battle, we watched them persecuted, on the run, and finally vindicated. The last pages of this issue are all the plash pages from all the major events in the past 7 years as if to remind us of all the hardships the decade brought down on them, than ends with a page of all the New Avengers causally walking down a park, finally free. Brian Michael Bendis truly shows why he one of the top writers of our era and Bryan Hitch’s, my personal favorite artist, while not his peak in this issue draws one of the best actions sequences ever.
