And so it came to pass that I looked upon the third issue of The Mighty Thor and felt my heart beat anew with childlike glee. Yea verily, this story feels to mine geeky senses more like the big summer event than that other Asgardian tale. But, alas, it’s more than the story that doth make this gem shine!

Ne’er has there been a duo so alike in style and temperament as Coipel and Martin! Believe me not!? I forsake you to view, with thine mortal eyes, a panel more possessed of depth and drama than the final page, as the heroes of Asgard fly forth to do battle with Galactus! Or a page as epic in scope and stomach-churning fright than that which features the Devourer of Worlds gazing towards the earth from our moon! Or a vision that will tighten your loins with such haste as that of Lady Sif bearing arms in her Suit of Birth!

I declare forthwith, Coipel and Martin to be the best art team working in comics today!

Onward to Broxton! Onward to the Eatery of Bill’s!
