A good end to an excellent run. I like that this issue didn’t need to
have some huge fight or some character’s random death. It was just a
birthday. A nice quiet birthday with friends. I have to assume that
everyone in Blue Valley knows that Courtney is Stargirl or else they’re
just functionally retarded. Speaking of functionally retarded, I did
enjoy the little bits with Starman. I know they’re making fun of his
mental illness, but it was still rather funny. The art was just right.
It made everyone look perfect. I could have done without the Wildcat
scene, just because I think it gave me diabetes, but on the other hand
the scene with the photograph was lovely. I’m going to miss Johns on
this book, but I’m glad he went out on a high note. 8/10
