This is my first review on ifanboy, so be gentle. First off, I got into the idea of this story in a preview in the back of another book. I love the art style and liked what I saw in premise with Green Lantern kind of taking things by the reigns and saying to hell with the Superman and Wonder Woman. The first issue released and I was not disappointed by the art but so no real mobility in the story other than letting people know, hey here are some heroes who are pissed. I did not want to judge it based on the first book. When issue 2 came out I was a little let down and I have not been able to put my finger on why, but issue 3 has been the best so far in my opinion.

Issue 3 seemed to finally get the story rolling a bit. We are starting to see a team taking shape and we got to know the main villain a bit more. I am not going to get into detail on the story and I am keeping this review spoiler free but as I have said this issue seems to get the wheels on the story. The art was pretty much more of the same but I felt like there were a few page layouts that really popped off of the page (it made me think of Williams on the last few Detective Comics). I probably should have gone back and looked at the other issues in case there have been some similar layouts in previous issues that I have forgotten about, but I am too lazy.

In closing, the art is not for everyone. I know some are not crazy about this style (though I can’t understand why) and the first few issues have gotten a lukewarm reception at best but This issue really has me looking forward to next month. If you have not read the series thus far I am not saying jump on, but if the next issue keeps this going in the right direction and Robinson delivers like we all know he can, this mini is going to end up being really good.

Story: 4 - Very Good
Art: 5 - Excellent
