This issue continues the “6 Gun War” story arc. It picks up were it last left off with Jonah coming to the rescue of Tallulah and Bat.  There is plenty of gun toting action in this gritty western tale to make me smile from ear to ear.  Then the story changes pace and the reader is treated to a flashback of involving Jonah and Turnbull’s son Jeb. We get to see how this whole mess started.  I’d say my favorite parts of this issue are the scenes between Jonah Hex and Tallulah Black.  The way the interact is amusing and their realtionship is delightfully satirical.   I’m a big fan of this book and really enjoy the “Done in One” approach.  This has deviated from the Jonah Hex standard but I find it really enjoyable and like all the characters involved.  It also nice to have the same artist for a few months and Cucina is doing some great stuff.  I’m glad that Palmiotti and Gray have decided to reintroduce the classic Hex villain and can’t wait to see what they have in store next for DC’s western posse.

Story: 5 - Excellent
Art: 4 - Very Good
