I’ve enjoyed the first five issues of Irredeemable a great deal, but this one left me feeling somewhat … blah. This issue seemed more of a place holder; the first five issues had Plutonian killing heroes (or wiping out entire peoples), but in this one the action slowed down. But at the same time, the story didn’t move that much further. Sure, we visit another historic, heroic adventure of the Paradigm, but I’m not sure what we learned. Are we closer to finding out what made Tony go bad? I guess a little. But I’m afraid I may drop this if we don’t start learning a bit more soon. Or if we keep hearing sad stories of a gifted young boy treated poorly because he’s different. It’s been done too many times.
