This series gets better and better. We get a glimpse of what looks like the Plutonian’s childhood. It’s hard to tell if it is a flashback, but there is a clue that points in that direction (front door). In this issue the art is the strongest it has ever been. I’m not sure if it’s the inks and coloring or just the pencils getting better, I just know it’s the best I’ve seen (except for the splash page from a previous issue of the Plutonian hovering over what used to be Singapore). We also gain new insight on why the Plutonian became evil. The pieces of the puzzle are creating a picture. Lastly, this book is returning to some of its roots from issue one: children’s skeletons 🙂

  1. Front door, huh? I’ll have to take a look because I couldn’t figure out what the hell was happening at the start of this issue, and I had too much more stuff left in my stack to go back and really study it at the time.

It would probably be a safe time to jump off and wait for the trade of volume two anyway.  I’m going to be crushed if the next trade is again only $9.99 when I paid $4 for each floppy.
