Iron Man 2.0 #12 concludes a bit less than a year (thanks for nothing Fear Itself) of Rhodey chasing Palmer Addley, a genius who killed himself and managed to turn himself into a virus that lead to people to going crazy and beating on one another. Dire times man, dire times. Anyway, this is the conclusion to the story that reintroduced us to a new War Machine, a War Machine that is less about gatlin guns and missiles and more about high tech warfare. The story for this entire series felt good reading and I enjoyed Spencer’s new take on War Machine. It has been a better series than Iron Man. It was just a fun soft SciFi tech romp.

The art for these 12 issues probably depends on personal taste. I enjoyed the series art to begin with but this issue (as well as the last) was wildly inconsistent due to the number of people working on it. A lot of it was very sloppy and styles were very divergent. Also, the idea of letting Salvador Larocca do covers is horrible. In the end, I had fun and I will continue to read this. Now I just wish Marvel let Spencer replace Fraction on Iron Man (1.0?) and give hime a killer artist (what’s Immonen doing next?) and I would be ready to give Iron Man another go.

Story: 4 - Very Good
Art: 2 - Average
