Initially, I rather enjoyed this title.  It looked different, and it felt important because Iron Man was somewhat crucial to the Marvel Universe.  Of course the movie had just come out, and I was kind of on a Iron Man high.  That has since worn off.  The first arc, I'll admit, was pretty good.  Started strong, ended in a fairly interesting way, even if there wasn't much meat in the middle.  Since then, though, this book feels completely irrelevant, serving no other purpose than to hammer (no pun intended) on points we already know.  Tony Stark failed.  Norman Osborne is a bad guy.  We get it.  And with the use of visuals such as Norman having pounded his windows until his fists bled, dark tones and dirty-looking rooms in the HAMMER complex to set a grim mood, and even the HAMMER soldiers being outfitted in Green Goblin's color patterns, I can't help but feel I'm being talked down to.  And, maybe even worse, this book spends so much time shouting at the top of it's lungs that Tony is "secretly" noble and Norman is "secretly" evil, that I can't help but feel these points will be addressed in other books in a better and, blessedly, more subtle manner.  So much for this book, then, being important.  The art doesn't help.  In the first few issues, I felt that Larroca's art was unique and crisp, but since then I've either gotten used to it to the point where I see the flaws, or it's becoming increasingly rushed-looking as the series wears on.  It's not as if I need a big excuse to drop a title, but I think I'll get my Dark Reign plot points spoon fed to me elsewhere from now on.
