Props to Fraction for making me care about Iron Man again. I haven't been following the regular Iron Man title, but now I wish I had. This was a spectacular first issue. I am genuinely excited for hat comes next.
The use of the young Stane and his new tech is truly inspiring and frightening. It looks as if he will eventually get a suit without the need of an outside power source, and give Tony a run for his money both in power and wit. I really like Tony being scared of being replaced and what his tech has evolved into without his oversight.
It's hard to really give too much praise with only one issue out, but I'm willing to get my hopes up if Fraction continues on this path.

What? This was easily the worst book in my stack.
Thats funny because for me it was the best
The prequel to this series really isn’t the other Iron Man book (though it’s been a solid, fun, if totally irrelevant to the larger Marvel U title) but Fraction’s work on "The Order" where Zeke Stane was introduced. There’s no need to have read that title to get this, but I mention it because it’s great comics.
I gotta side closer to Balefuego on this one. I don’t think this was a spectacular issue, but it was interesting, and planted plenty of seeds for the continuing storyline, the art was decent… I find it hard to believe that anyone could read this story and come to the conclusion "Wow! That was just awful comics.", I’ve kind of got to imagine that anyone who thinks that is just a Fraction hater, as there seem to be plenty of those on the internet.
