The single silver lining in an otherwise disappointing monthly shipment from Heavyink.com. This is my first single issue of Invincible proper and I can honestly say that’s the most sequential fun I’ve had in a monthly dose for a while. Other books, I’ll trade-wait; this I can see enjoying as a periodical.

  1. Yea, I’m saddened that I need to take a break from this book, but I’m saving each issue in my folder because this did look like it was an excellent issue, I was just at my Kirkman threshhold.

  2. This’ll be my first Kirkman book to date, sans a random Invincible one-and-done and the first Walking Dead trade. I have to admit, I’m pretty impressed with the guy.

  3. I’ve loved all but two issues of Invincible, and one I thought was an impressive concept that was just…an impossible task (a company wide crossover in one issue {#60}), and the other was Invincible Returns.  For him to have put out 71 issues, and only one of them, and one side story to be subpar is damned impressive.

And while I’m currently hating the repetetive nature of The Walking Dead in issue form, I think it reads flawlessly in trade form.
