Excellent conclusion to an excellent series. I’ve been binging on Brubaker/Phillips titles for the past month or so, and I can’t say I regret it one bit. I’m in total admiration of Brubaker’s ability to keep me turning pages without slowing down. I guess the only issue with this is that I’m not able to stop and admire the scenery that Phillips and Staples paint so vividly. I mean, really- these guys are at the top of their game. Staples uses colors that just aren’t natural, but she makes you believe they are. When you combine this with Phillips’ realistic action drawings, it’s a beautiful thing.

The revelations are spectacular, and the last few pages left me wanting a lot more. Hell, the whole series left me wanting more. The good news is that he seems to be working on another Incognito story. Lucky for us, we haven’t seen the last of Zack Overkill yet.

If you want to experience more of this dream team, I highly recommend Criminal.
