I should start by saying that I'm a huge Hulk fanboy. Now that that's out of the way, I am having a very hard time stomaching this series so far. Splitting the book into two stories is the worst idea they've had so far, and in just 7 issues there have been some bad ones. This issue starts off with the Wendigo infestation in Las Vegas and for some reason Banner changes into the grey Hulk to fight off a bunch of Wendigos, easily defeating them by seemingly squishing them into a large ball and throwing them at a statue (?!?) before being attacked by Moon Knight (?!?!?!?!?!) then snuck up on by Ms. Marvel and Sentry (?!?!?!?!?!!?!?!???!!!???!!!). Clearly, 11 pages is not enough for Mr. Loeb to tell a story. ONE Wendigo gives the green Hulk some trouble, but a pack of numerous Wendigos is no problem for the grey Hulk? Really? He just beat the hell out of all of them while trying to hit on a chick. Mind numbing...
Then, we have the distinct pleasure of watching She Hulk put together her squad of Lady Liberators (which, in her own series includes the Invisible Woman, not Maria Hill, and refers to this issue in a footnote...maybe Sue'll come to her senses and join up next issue?). Plenty of Frank Cho heroine T&A, and then the red Hulk decides he's not going to kill everyone like he's been doing, he'd rather play spin the bottle with Thundra and Valkyrie. Sure, that's kind of funny, but...what?!?
I'll never drop the book, but this has got to stop! I can't believe we've gone from Greg Pak, Planet Hulk, World War Hulk, and what was seemingly a specific direction to Jeph Loeb and...I don't know what.
