This is a goofy little diversion from the book’s main story, and as such it works very well. There’s a lot of “oh, cool I remember that guy” moments here for long time Marvel fans and plenty of the smashing and bashing that one expects from this book. I personally prefer Hardman’s art over McGuiness’s but his style is very well suited for this sort of over-the-top story. Finally, kudos to Parker for penning one of the funniest comic book lines I’ve read in a long time.

There is a “Rick Jones, A-Bomb” back-up story here which I read but can’t find myself caring about. It’s just sort of there.
