Before now I’ve looked on the new Hulk run with amusement. I picked up the last arc because of its delightful stupidity. Plus it had Hellcat in it and I’m a sucker for that chick.

This issue, however, was just lame. In it Hulk is trying to get the old Defenders back together to fight Rulk and his Offenders. Yeah, that’s it. The pacing seemed off and it overall just seemed mind-numbingly stupid. There was no reason for Silver Surfer to show up and it was a giant stretch to pull Dr. Strange out of the past.

This series went from delightfully dumb to simply dumb this issue and with a 3.99 price tag I would suggest staying away from this mess.

Story: 1 - Poor
Art: 4 - Very Good

  1. Hulk reminds me of the "all your base are belong to us" thing. "What you say".

  2. Yeah, I can see that. Rulk was an amusing meme for a while, but it just got old.

  3. The price tag issue is boring. Subscribe and you pay less than $1.70 an issue, but you’d rather come here and bitch instead. You waste your money so you can be a part of the discussion. That’s your own fault. The only thing worse than Loeb’s judgment is your own. It means more to you to be a player on the hater squad than to be fiscally conscious. There’s no excuse for this.
