If you had to buy a single issue of Hellblazer this year, this is it. This is your chance to jump on board. No wait, more like “dive into.” The Biz (Simon Bisley) has reinvented himself here with a more polished, clean line approach than you would expect of him. Less Sienkiewicz and more Corben. It works incredibly well here in this issue. As for Milligan, he has been owning this title for a couple of years now and without question, some of his best work is on this book. The ending he crafted here is something you should see coming, but you don’t. It just hits you. It is the touch of a gifted writer to pull this off. You won’t be disappointed reading this.
