I don’t know why it was, but I really didn’t like the faces in this
issue. They weren’t poorly drawn, but something about them really grated
against me. I think it made it to the uncanny valley or something. Regardless it took away a large amount of the pleasure I would have gotten from
this issue.

As for the story, it was just as awesome as it has ever been. I
think it’s a shame that Adam hasn’t been this interesting outside of the
Infinity Gauntlet. I like that they’re being consistent about magic as a form
of energy and using that as a basis for its interactions in the universe. I
love that they’re teasing a Magus turn for Adam, I’m pretty sure that will be
the next major space story, just because I don’t see it being contained in the
one book.

I’m amazed at how this book consistently takes a title I never cared
about and characters I never had any interest makes it one of my favorite
comics with each new issue, art notwithstanding
