After reading the past four issues, this series has quickly become my favorite; I look forward to the arrival of every issue of Peter J. Tomasi's run, and this issue continues that tradition.
The focus of this issue is the battle with Kryb, a freaky Sinestro Corps member who specializes in kidnapping babies. One of the lanterns fighting her, Matto Pree, is pregnant, which Kryb uses to her advantage by promising to steal her baby. The battle between them is very intense, but I'll get to that soon.
Of course, along with this intense battle, there are a few less-intense moments, too - though just as good. One such moment is where we see a, Sinestro Corps member, lounging around, talking in a very Shakespearean tone. The only thing, though - this guy is a giant monster with six rings. We last saw him four issues ago killing the boyfriend of Miri Riam, a member of the Pink Corps of love.
The art is just as good as the writing - not only are the scenes filled with green lasers, there's also giant green robot suits and - no joke - Pree even summons a giant fetus to defeat Kryb. She doesn't win, though - the last page shows Kryb poised above her to steal her baby, with hypnotized Green Lanterns holding her down, including her own husband. Will she escape? Only time will tell.
