I think Tomasi has been a strong addition to DC’s stable of writers, and this issue illustrates why. Although some may find his writing to be a bit too wordy, but this is how I like my comics. Densely written with plenty of action and strong character moments, and he is not afraid to refer to prior continuity. This junior GL title continues to entertain even if it doesn’t reach the heights of John’s work on the main title.

I love Gleasons art when inked well like it is in this issue. It’s a bit quirky and muddy in spots, but I enjoy the storytelling it exhibits and it definitely has a personality all its own.
