I love Tomasi's take on the Sinestro Corps. Mongul's history is recapped here, and done in a way that shows why he deserves a yellow ring. His use of the ring and the Black Mercy show why he is the best choice to lead in Sinestro's absence. I hope that we will see a confrontation between the two some day. The Lanterns are each given a distinctive voice as well, and the large cast juggled expertly.
The art is very well done as well. Gleason shows the horror of Mongul's planet and the ring of death around it in grotesque detail. While some of the later scenes on the planet are hard to decipher, he did a great job with this issue.
Tomasi is raising GLC up higher and higher each month, making it just as important as its sister title.
