With Geoff Johns gone in this series, it feels many past readers cant help but compare it to John’s work. The story within this issue is not bad. They are trying new things by adding new characters and using old characters which I like. It expands the Green Lantern universe and does not ignore anything.

That’s the story aspect I like but this issue alone does fall a little short on content. I wish they would do a little more. Larfleezes is in this issue but his character seems 1-dimensional.

I’m not a very savvy artist in comics but here are my opinions. Maybe it’s just me but it has an anime feel to it which I’m ok with and I like seeing a different artist have their versions on Green lantern. It’s definitely not not but after John’s run, it’ll be something to get used to.

Overall, not a bad pickup for GL readers. Has development, nice action and artwork. Those who want to continue or start reading GL has a great opportunity.
