We all know what this issue is about, for months DC has tried their hardest to make the public like this new lantern the only way they know how, by shoving him down our throats every chance they get, so much that people started hating him rather than anticipating him. Simon Baz is his name, and by the looks of it he’s here to stay. This issue gives you a close look at the life of the first Arab-American Green Lantern and how he got his ring. As far as we know, this book only shows snippets of his past and a glance of how his life was right before he got the ring. In the end this was an eye-opening experience, just when we thought that Baz would suck, Johns and Mahnke pull a fast one and give us an amazing combination of story and art providing us with the perfect example on how to introduce a new character into this ever loving universe we like to call the DCnU. P.S. All it takes is one page to turn a book around.
