There are a few things that have bothered me since the great closing line of issue 5, "Get me my damn bow."
It seems Winick hasn't quite delivered on the excitement that line filled me with, yet.
Minor issue: a misspell on page 5, panel 2,
Larger issue: if you're going to credit Cliff Chiang for the art on the cover, I expect to see Cliff Chiang's art on the inside. Not that the art was bad, but I'd rather see Mike Norton draw in his own style, not imitating (or honoring, whatever) Chiang. To further drive my point home (I hope), imagine someone else drawing The Flash and trying to emulate Freddie Wiliams' art...eccchhh. That sure won't increase readership.
I get that they're trying to keep the art similar to match the story/tone already set, but I can't help but think of comic artists in the 60's and 70's being told, "draw like this Kirby guy." I'd prefer to see the artist draw in his own style.
Story-wise it's still pretty solid but my interest is starting to slip a bit. I enjoyed their interrogation methods, but it's hard to let the fact that all of them missed the zippers on the neck go without being a little insulted. How did they ever make it into the JLA if they're this unobservant?
I'm still reading this book for sure, but let's credit the right people on the cover, spell everything correctly, and let's tie up this story line sooner, rather than later, and bring in something that doesn't still reek of Amazons Attack. (I actually liked AA, but it's so 6 months ago).
