Green Arrow #1 starts off with a bang! Pretty much a stand-alone issue (even though it’s part one), reading it was satisfying.

Green Arrow/Oliver Queen is a billionaire running a company similar to Apple (the way I see it, with everyone mentioning the Q-Phone and all), though he’s not a business man, he prefers spending his time as the vigilante known as Green Arrow. In Paris, him and his team tracks off three miscreants about to attack a yacht, chaos and fighting ensues and GA kicks-asses in style and puts them behind bars.

It’s simple, it’s action-packed and it ends with a cliffhanger: everything I want from a comic book! Kudos to J.T. Krull for that!

Dan Jurgens’ art is quite good also if not spectacular. Action scenes are clear, characters are detailed and panels flow flawlessly. The only drawback is some background lack details when characters are talking, like the interior scene where Ollie and Jax talk together with just the brown wall behind them… It lacks that little something that could make this stand apart instead of just being good.

To conclude, I enjoyed Green Arrow #1 and I can’t wait for #2 to arrive!
