I’ve always been a Ghostbusters fan, but for whatever reason I’ve never liked any of the comics based on the franchise enough to make it a regular read, until this one. I think a lot of that has to do with the art, since the cartoon style does a better job of showing that the world the Ghostbusters live in is fun and exciting, despite the occasional eldritch horror they have to face. It’s also evocative of the cartoon series, even though it is a new design for the team that is closer in line to the original actors. Story wise it does a good job setting up a feeling of a challenge coming on the level of Gozer, while at the same time doing a great job capturing the essence of each of the characters as well as the pacing of the humor from the movies. Overall if your a fan of the Ghostbusters, this is a great offering by IDW that I recommend you pick up; I’ll certainly be sticking with it.

Story: 4 - Very Good
Art: 5 - Excellent
