No super-powers, monsters or aliens here. This is a straight-up drama about a group of cops taking that first step onto a slippery slope of bad ideas. The writing is good- Garth Ennis quickly and effectively fleshes out characters who are believable, but not necessarily likeable. The art is pretty solid; neither groundbreaking nor oversimplified. It fits perfectly with a story that could be taking place right now in a city near you.

Red Team is worth checking out, but I’m not hooked yet.
