I’m officially giving up on The Flash.  I love every component of this creative team, but I just can’t connect to Barry Allen or any of the other hundred DC characters who run really fast.

While Geof Johns appears to have a personal affinity for all his characters, I think, deep down, Barry Allen is who he wishes he was.  There’s a lot of reverence here, but very very little story: a dream sequence, an assemblage of fast people, and then a Who’s Who and What’s What guide to The Flash.  It left me with an appreciation for the art, but a big old shoulder shrug for the story.

Story: 2 - Average
Art: 5 - Excellent

  1. DC has a catch-22 with the Flash. No matter what the cannot seem to get one Flash to click. Wally had Barry’s ghost looming constantly as did Bart.

Please DC stick with Barry and establish Wally and the rest in team books.

  2. Wow Akamuu. This book reeled me right in!
