Being a comic fan this day in age means getting used to delays. In some cases the wait never helps the story. In most cases fans will still pick up the book, but the momentum is lost. And in those rare times; those super-mega rare times, you can pick up a late book and not lose a step. This is Flash: Rebirth #5

What can I say about this title? The first two issues were okay, but the last few have really picked up the pace. Johns’ stories are known for making sense once you finish the final line of the last issue and then return to the story to see the whole picture. This issue offered me that a little early. And for that, I’m glad.

We see all the speedsters doing what we love them for. And we get a couple of new surprises, too!

The final issue should be coming out soon. Hopefully before Blackest Night: Flash, but I can say the wait this time didn’t hurt the book. Bravo!
