I am beyond excited to be reading The Flash again, especially in the hands of someone with a great understanding of this character.  Case in point when Wally...err..Barry decided to not just let these people become homeless but to just rebuild their projects for them.  Why wouldn't Barry do that with his super speed?  Then I love how Johns explains everything to the reads so that it makes sense.  During the panels when The Renegades were returning to their time I was a little confused why that caused the destruction of the apartment building.  But in great Geoff Johns fashion he understands that unclarity (which isn't a word) and explains that later in the book.  Along with explaining how Barry was able to learn how to rebuild that building, and how it works with his short term memory was genius.  I appreciate that immensely because thou these are fantasy, grounding it some what in reality works better.

Manapul's art when Barry is out of the cowl and the drawing of The Renegades/Rogues is awesome.  Drawing Barry as The Flash I feel could be better.  I never liked when people draw The Flash running and his hands are straight like he's waving to his face.  Also the panel when he's carrying out the mother and her daughter where he's like running straight at us, that panel has been in Flash comics for too long.  But I think once this train gets going with Johns/Manapul we will see some great things.
